Condom

Condom is a reliable and first means to prevent unwanted pregnancy. This temporary device used by men prevents pregnancy and also protects against various s3xually transmitted diseases. Condoms that can be used before starting physical contact. It is easily available in the market and is free of cost in government hospitals.

Copper T (IUD)

A copper T (IUD) is a small T-shaped plastic device that is placed inside the uterus. There is no fear of unwanted pregnancy after placing copper T. It can be kept for 12 years and can be removed if you want to conceive. Copper tea is considered to be the best method of contraception in recent times.

Narplant

Another means to prevent unwanted pregnancy is Narplant. It is placed on the arm of a woman and it makes safe for up to 5 years.

Regular pills

Pills are another contraceptive method. Women should eat it every day to prevent unwanted pregnancy. It is seen that mostly women are using it because they can use and leave as needed. It should not be missed. If you forget to take the pill one day, it may not work.

Depot (Three month needle)

Depoprovera, known as Sangini Sui (injection) in Nepal. It is a reliable method of contraception in these days. Women can use this injection every three months to avoid pregnancy. After using Depo once, there is no pregnancy for three months period.

Emergency Pills

Emergency pills are used if pregnancy is suspected after unprotected physical contact. It can be used especially in cases where other contraceptives have failed, such as if the condom breaks during s3xual intercourse, if you forget to take pills, or if you miss a three-month depot injection. It should be used for 48 hours to 72 hours after physical contact. But this pill should not be used regularly.
